We had our very first snow day this week! I enjoyed it and I know the students did. We talked about what everyone did while they were out and most everyone said sleep, play video games, and watch tv. Sounds like they needed a break! This week we are finishing up addition sentences. We will test over out skill tomorrow, Friday December 13. We are also practicing everyday on counting to 100. My goal is that every student counts to 100 before first grade. Please work with your child on this so that we can make our goal!
In reading we are focusing on text features, characters, settings, and retelling the events of a story.
Next week is a four day week with a half day on Friday. Our Christmas party is Friday, December 20 at 8:30. We will have a Christmas gift swap. Please don't forget your gift so you can swap. Maximum limit of $3.00. School will be dismissed at 10:40.
